I’ve been back at work since August 16th, and even though I always love the energy and excitement that a new school year brings, I’ve been missing this little one.
This little one who sleeps with plastic animals and dips them in her ice cream, who asks for a trip to Target on a near daily basis, who now asks her mom and dad to “go away please” so she can have some privacy when she paints, who sat patiently through her first french braid.
This little one is growing up before my eyes. The baby fat is melting away, the inches are stacking up, and the sentences are tumbling out of her mouth. And day by day, it seems, I see less of my sweet baby and more of my girl, my little person. She is such an awesome little person. I love her completely.
such sweet pictures of your sweet little/big girl!
Thanks, Bobbie. These normal, everyday shots are some of my favorites.
Brought a tear to my eye! She sure is one special little girl. No longer a baby, that’s for sure.
Me too. I got weepy writing this. Just anticipating her THIRD birthday gets me all verklempt.
❤ ❤ ❤ What great story.
Thank you, Auntie Amy!
The first French braid?!?! Such a wonderful sentimental post.
Thanks, Carla! I can’t believe the french braid either…she’s had plenty of hair for one for awhile now, but only one of her past babysitters (who came by last week) knows how to do them! haha
Hope you’re settling down fine at work. Another great and sentimental post which really resonated with me. I love the selection of pictures (as usual).
Thank you so much, Zee! The school year is off to a great start! I love the beginning of the year.
Is she a lefty?
She used to really favor her left hand, but now she’s started eating with her right, so who knows!
So sweet, my Katy….We have several years of cuteness to witness from “this little one”. Cherish each and every little tidbit. We love her so!
We know you do! She loves you back!
