Sunday was a gorgeously sunny 70 degree day……and we went to the pumpkin patch!
But Bloombury Farms is much more than a pumpkin patch. It has a zip line, a haunted corn maze, a corn kernel pit, baby pig races, a little petting zoo, a huge bouncy “pillow”, hay rack rides, a tractor tire jungle gym, a pumpkin cannon, plus more.
We obviously didn’t go through the corn maze or ride the zip line, and we didn’t make it to the corn kernel pit or bouncy pillow, but we still managed to stay busy for two hours.
Charlotte had the best time ever, and I took over a hundred pictures. I wish I had the afternoon on audio because then you could hear how excited she was. If you know Charlotte, you know how, um, vocal she can be. She was hilariously cute.
Before I show you some of the highlights, let me remind you of what Charlotte was like last year when we went. You can read all about it here. It was fun, but she was still very much a baby. And she looked like this:
This year, Charlotte is quite a bit more grown up! (*tear*)
Charlotte loved loved loved checking out all the animals. There were goats, llamas, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and pot-bellied pigs. The goats, llamas, and pigs were very friendly since everyone was feeding them. Charlotte got up close and personal with a couple new friends.
She learned how to say llama, but it came out of her mouth as mama. Close enough.
After Daddy and I let Charlotte ride in a little cart pulled by a tractor all by herself (I know!), it was time for a little horseback riding break. Yee Haw!
Pumpkin picking turned out to be more of a pumpkin cleaning, but as it turns out, scraping mud off pumpkins is pretty fun, too.
(Until she found the pumpkin with the hole in it. That was sad. Poor poor pumpkin.)
Finally, something creepy started to happen, which was our cue to head home….
Until next year, Bloomsbury Farm!
