For awhile now, rolling has been a chore for Charlotte. She could do it, but it took some effort so it really didn’t happen very often. Well, as of this past week or so, that has officially changed. Charlotte must have bulked up on her steroids because she is suddenly strong enough to roll like crazy. Okay, maybe “like crazy” is a bit of an exaggeration. But every time we put her on the floor now, she loves to flip herself over right away at least once or twice.
She also has started rolling onto her side when we put her in her crib at night. Twice, we’ve discovered her sleeping on her stomach. It’s almost hard to imagine that just a few short months ago all of her movements were instinctual – the flailing arms, tiny leg kicks, flexing her fingers. We can’t even hold her anymore without her grabbing our noses or mouths or hair. (Ouch, ouch, and ouch. But cute, so forgivable.)
She also likes to grab the camera:
I’m getting good at taking a million pictures at once so that at least one of them comes out okay. Here’s her face; tongue out as usual.
I think she’s cute.
