Charlotte was acting very true to her age today – sweet and happy one minute, a puddle of whining tears the next. But I’d say the day was a success because she ate her vegetables and got to bed on time. (And since she does those things every day, all our days our good!)
She also watched “Dumbo” and loved the mouse and all the animals. The dream sequence was a little strange, but I don’t think it scared her (much). For the record, Dumbo is Bum-bum in Charlish.
Another bit of Charlish to share: Chris and I think it’s adorable that Charlotte calls her coat a choat.
Tonight at dinner, Chris asked Charlotte whether she liked the bite of collard greens she had just put in her mouth.
“I like it,” she replied, which prompted Chris and I to high-five each other in our heads.
Seconds later, as she was swallowing, Charlotte retracted that statement with an Aaaack! followed by a sour puss grimace.
Well, at least she swallowed it. Score one for the parents.
Also in today’s news, I made this:
My adorable little seal!
And since it’s hard to see the rest of the body, here is another (slightly blurry, but it gets the job done) shot:
I still can’t believe that the only thing I used to make this (and the fox) is wool.
Anywhoodles…That’s all I have for tonight! Chris has been writing something for the blog for a few nights now, and I’m excited for him to share it! He’s a veeeerrry sloooow writer (because he is such a perfectionist) though, so we may all be waiting a few more days…or weeks. Whatever.

Does she like kale? Love your little seal, honey!
Not usually (at least they way we’ve given it to her). But we always put it on her plate anyway.
I want to give that seal a kiss! Charlotte too!
Charlotte misses Sadie. They need to play soon.
You’re cute.
