Hints that yet another of Charlotte’s phases is nearing its end has me scrambling to write this one down…
I do has been Charlotte’s go-to response to most questions that could be answered with a yes.
Examples:
Charlotte, do you want some milk? I do!
Do you want to go to the library? I do!
Are you hungry? I do!
See? Cute.
She’s been doing this for many months now, but only until about one month ago has she been pronouncing it correctly every time. It used to be, “ah duh, ah duh” (always in twos), which was so endearing for awhile (okay, forever) but was becoming a little too rudimentary for an almost two-year old (Now, of course, I miss it. Of course.)
But her current I dos are to die for. Oh the enthusiasm! Often, they come rolling out: I DOOooo! And then Chris and I both die from cuteness overload.
On New Year’s Eve, I tried to capture this on camera. I didn’t get the very best example, but you will get to hear Charlotte’s hilarious pronunciation of the word milk. I’ll keep trying for the really good I do becuase, like I said, I think this phase might be on its way out pretty soon. Today, she kept responding to my questions with yes. Um, no thank you, Charlotte.

That is Brooke’s favorite thing to say!!! She says “I do” to almost everything…it’s so sweet! I love it!
